• Following the successful completion the new 13^th fairway bunker complex we are delighted to announce that the 13th bunkers will be open for play this Saturday. The turf established itself quickly due to the favourable growing conditions.
• Taking advantage of the 18^th hole being out of play it was decided to re level the teeing surface, existing turf was removed and the area was laser levelled and turf replaced. Topdressing will be carried out next week and be ready for play when the green opens.
• The 18^th green received its first mow this week after being seeded only 4 weeks ago. The coverage is nearly complete after such a short period and performing exceptionally well.
• New Toro Sidewinder Tee mower was delivered last week replacing our 2010 model, this new machine will start it's mowing duties as our tee mower.

This Sunday we play Oatlands at North Ryde starting at 7am.

In a format unique to world professional golf, the ISPS Handa Vic Open titles are simultaneously staged over 72-holes stroke play at the 13th Beach Golf Links on the Bellarine Peninsula.

Playing as an Amateur after the 1^st round Rachel was in T50 place at +8. Wishing Rachel all the best for her final rounds.

Summer Cup: The Summer Cup this year had 7 rounds with an average of around 104 players each week. With the 13^th hole playing short for a couple of weeks there were some amazing scores recorded. The highest score of the competition was 46 C/B. 

The winner of the Summer Cup was Elizabeth Sung with 11 points. Runner up was Julie Ogilvie on 10 points. There were two people on 9 points (Lynn Wells and Heesuk Lee), so third place had to be decided on stableford points.  Heesuk Lee had 228 stableford points making her the third placegetter.  Congratulations to all!

Season Opening: The new golf year started on Tuesday, 1 February with a Stableford round and a return to a two-tee start. There were 102 players and with the sweltering heat a few people pulled out at halfway.  Play did become a little slow with the heat sapping everyone's energy but most managed to finish.  

This was followed the next week with the first medal round of the season with only 71 players crazy enough to go out in the rain. Even with the rain it was much more pleasant than the heat of the previous week.

Open Day: Open Day is on the 8 March. This is an invitation day and guests may be invited to play. The event will be an Irish Team Stableford competition with a shotgun start.  The sheets for this event are in the locker room. 

Representative teams
The Silver II Pennant team will have their first match on Friday 11th February.  They will play Concord at Pennant Hills. We wish the team good luck.
