Monday 11 October is NRGC Club Day, and we will celebrate the occasion with extended Happy Hours from 5-7pm, including complimentary snacks. We hope to see you there!

The lockdown was eased slightly by the Reciprocal programme, first innovated by your Club and then replicated across greater Sydney, which enabled Members to play at some Clubs within 5kms. It made a significant difference to me personally as I was able to play 2 rounds at Muirfield (thank you!), but I was extremely disappointed that the Club closest to where I live elected not to be as community minded. Members who have not been able to play at your Club (as a result of the lockdown) will have preferential bookings for the next few weeks - further details below.

Not surprisingly, the lockdown has had a silver lining with green fees significantly up. Your Board wanted to share this and considered several options. One overriding consideration is that our Constitution requires that Members must receive equitable benefits - a tenet that is core to our values both as a Board and Club. 

Therefore, it is with pleasure that your Board has decided to credit all financial Playing Members over the age of 18 with $100 on your account. This credit can be used in the Bars or Restaurant between 11 October 2021 and 28 February 2022.

Finally, as we enter this new age, thank you for your support and a gentle reminder that we still have a way to go....

Please note: Opening of all venues from October 11 are under NSW Health orders. Our trading and operations to ensure a CovidSAFE environment and meet these requirements will be a little different. There are capacity restrictions, double vaccination proof required to enter, all patrons indoors to wear a mask unless seated while eating and drinking and wear a mask at all times indoors unless eating or drinking. Due to NSW Government re-opening conditions, only double vaccinated patrons can enter the Clubhouse and the Pro Shop from Monday 11 October. Unvaccinated patrons will be served at the Pro Shop through Click & Collect. The same requirements will apply at the Halfway Bar.  Masks will be mandatory while inside at all times except when seated eating and drinking within the Clubhouse. Following the relaxation of the COVID restrictions from October 11 enabling most of the Club's golfing programme to return to normal, unfortunately we will not be able to resume our usual fortnightly Vets programme until next year.  We will keep you posted in this regard. 

However, our 2021 Championships (a Stroke event) will be played as per the dates shown in the Fixtures Book i.e. Round 1, October 25 and Round 2, November 8.  

Additionally, we are happy to advise that we will be able to hold our annual Hams Day on December 13, however due to the limited number of games played this year, the usual distribution of hams to members who have played a stipulated number of games throughout the year, is not feasible.  In its place, we hope to be able to replace it with a Hams rundown in lieu of Ball rundown.  It will remain a Best 3 out of 4 plus Individual Stableford game.  Depending upon what COVID restrictions still apply in December, we are hoping that we will be able to hold our annual Hams Day Sausage Sizzle after the round.  More details on this will be advised closer to the day.
