Redevelopment of the 14th Green and Surrounds

In accordance with the Club's Master Plan and the President's message contained in the 19th News last month, the next course project being undertaken is the redevelopment of the 14th Green and Surrounds.

This project will commence in early January and we are happy to advise that we are utilising the services of the same contractor who completed the work on the 18th redevelopment.  Please see below the artist's impression of the changes which will incorporate pathways and capillary bunkers, in line with the other new bunkers on the course.  The new 14th green will also feature subtle contours similar to ones found on the 9th and 17th greens.

Also if you click on the following link is the aerial view complete with topography mapping of the area overlaid on the existing layout:   AERIAL LINK

Once the 14th work is complete, one third of the course will have been updated as per the Master Plan.  By way of recap the following holes have been redeveloped: 1, 4, 9, 17 and 18.

Junior Pennants & Encourage Shield

This year we were fortunate to be able to field teams for both competitions and while the success our teams achieved was not necessarily reflected in the scores, they have all improved out-of-sight in comparison to where they were at the start of the season and are much more competition-wise for the experience.

The Juniors Pennants played in Section 3 against Castle Hill, Stonecutters Ridge, Pennant Hills and Lynwood.  Encourage Shield team played against Roseville, Northbridge, Massey Park, Avondale and Lane Cove.  In summary, all our Juniors got the chance to play with and meet new friends while enjoying the great game and play on some great tracks in various conditions noting the last round of the Encourage Shield to be held at Avondale was washed out.

Thanks to the coaches Marty, Alex and Chloe.  Thanks also to Managers Greg Sheaves, Ben Brown and Daniel Fazzolari as well as all the parents for giving up valuable weekend time and travelling far and wide.

After such a great foundation year, we look forward to taking it up a gear in 2024!

2023 Encourage Shield Team:  Patrick Hunter, Luke Johnsun, Matthew Johnsun, Xavier Leung, Eamon Nilan, Elyse Paton, Jayden Quan, Iris Zheng

2023 Junior Pennant Team:  Eian De Mesa, Oscar Guazzarotto, Jaydon Hui, Kai Mandalidis, Lara Mandalidis, Enzo Moon, Hana Shin, Fletcher Thompson, YU Wang
