Digger's Day - Tee Spots

The Tee sheet opened for Digger's Day (Sat 22 April) last week. There are still tee times available so get your group organised or just book yourself in for a fabulous day and evening at the Club celebrating the mateship of "the Diggers". 

This day is shaping up to be very special with not only great golf but prizes, drinks & food during the day but also a steak dinner with two live entertainers.

A duel Comedy and Magic show brought to you by Rash Ryder Comedian and Brendan Mon Tanner the riotous comic magician will have you in side-splitting laughter with their hilarious jokes and amazing magic tricks.  Get ready for an evening of laughter and amazement as Rash Ryder and Brendan Mon Tanner take the stage.

All inclusive cost covers both Golf & Dinner:
$40 for members
$75 for non-members 

Golf 6:30am - 12:30pm:  2 Man Ambrose - 3 clubs and a putter off the first tee. This includes drinks on the course & a sandwich at the Halfway Bar. Book online and pay online (See the separate tee time April 22 that says payment) or alternatively pay directly with the office either way please confirm if joining us for dinner. For members booking in a guest, a Golf Link number is required. 

Dinner from 5:30pm:  Starts with a free drink and antipasto platter prior the Ode with dinner to follow at 6:15pm. Looking forward to a great golf day and evening of entertainment.

Any male over the age of 65 years of age on a handicap of 14 or less who would like to be part of our Team and play, could you please put your full name, date of birth, handicap and golf link number on the sheet located on the board downstairs.

Volunteers

We were thrilled to receive a great response from our volunteer request last week and will get back to you all shortly once we can finalise these three Teams of Volunteers.  

That being said we would still love to add a few more names to our three teams.

1. GreenTeem:  Volunteers working on sustainability of the Greens and Tees, with induction and training provided.

2. Woodies:  Concerned with lessening the interference from loose branches, twigs and minor undulations when you're playing.  Also with induction and training provided.

Days for assisting in these roles are either Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays (or more) outside of competitions times but prior 2pm. We look forward to thanking you for these two hour stints with a complimentary refreshing drink.

3. Juniors:  For any members looking to assist the Junior program and sharing your wisdom to the next generation of NRGC golfers - please contact Marty in the pro shop pro@northrydegolfclub.com.au. 2022/2023 Medal of Medal Winner

Last Saturday, the Medal of Medals was run. This was a play off of our Monthly Medal winners from the beginning of our 2023 Golf year, March 2022 to the end of February 2023. This year our winner was Matthew Seo, a good win in some tough playing conditions. Congratulations Matthew.

Women's News

Singles Knockout:   The qualifying round for the Singles Knockout is on tomorrow Thursday, 6 April.  The 16 players with the best stableford scores will qualify to play in the Singles Knockout commencing the following Thursday, 13 April.  Those that qualify will be notified and those people only must pay an entry fee of $10 before the first round.

NB: Before indicating that you want to qualify you should make sure that you are available to play for the next four weeks. Players who are drawn to play in the knockout rounds and who do not appear on the tee, unless very exceptional circumstances exist, will be suspended from competition golf for three weeks. 

North Ryde Salver, Macquarie Bowl & Autumn Plate Tuesday 18 April:   If you haven't already put your name down on the sheet for the North Ryde Salver please do so as soon as possible as the draw will be completed on Thursday 13h April next week.

Keep in mind there will be no Meat Raffle or Members Cash Draw on Good Friday.
