The countdown to Christmas has started with our favourite end of year Christmas events. With just over 2 weeks to go, we look forward to hosting the much loved annual Christmas Club Dinner Dance. Please book your seats for this annual Christmas event as there are a few tables/places still available. Book at the office during operating hours either in person or via phone 9887 4422 ext.2.

Looking forward to a great night starting with a glass of bubbles on arrival, then a traditional three course Christmas dinner and an evening of live entertainment featuring the 5 piece band "Freshmix". Put your party clothes on and join us for a great night!

Course Report

On Sunday night the course received a solid dousing with 31mm of rain which the dams welcomed. This had a fantastic greening impact on the course but the bunkers didn't cope quite so well receiving the most damage. It has taken a few days to repair the bunkers and pump out any excess water to bring them back to prime condition. See images of the 13th green and bunker.

New Golf Carts

On Wednesday and Thursday this week we were all very excited to receive the 25 long-awaited new Golf Carts from Yamaha. With the new luxury seats it was "New Cart Smell" all over.

The carts are new generation, lithium powered and very easily distinguishable by the mica bronze colour. For the motoring enthusiasts - the carts are more powerful and smoother with crisp handling courtesy of their independent rear suspension. Importantly the carts will reliably be able to complete at least two rounds without needing to be re-charged!

As previously mentioned, all the improvements and updates come with the following small incremental increases as follows:

Playing Members - book of ten $290
Single Playing Member Round $35
Non-member round $50
9 hole Playing Member $18
9 hole non-member $30

Rules of Golf 2023

On Sunday 1 January 2023, the new Rules of Golf will come into effect. The R&A and the USGA have announced a number of minor changes to the Rules Of Golf. The changes include greater clarity in a few areas, modifications for people with disability and a global modernisation of the way in which Rules are made available.

Hard copies of the Rules of Golf will no longer be distributed. Rules can be accessed via the R&A mobile App to download click HERE to access together with more information.

Please note that Golf Australia are currently upgrading their own "GA Handicap App" and this will be available into the future.

Save the Dates to Win

Last Sunday after being able to congratulate some of our golfing winners from October, we saw another winner of the $1,000 cash go to one of our lucky members - Steve Larvin! Congratulations Steve, we always see a smile on your face but maybe this one is a little bigger than normal.

Keep Friday Nights in the Diary

Friday Fun is exactly that with Member's Happy hours 4:30-6:30pm and our weekly Meat Raffles but to add to this, from Friday 2nd Dec we start our Christmas Meat Raffles. We will give you the chance to win a Ham for Christmas. As each Friday in December gets closer to Christmas, the more chances you will get to WIN.

Of cause don’t forget the next Member’s Cash Draw will be next Friday 25 November after the weekly Meat Raffle! Be here to WIN no matter the Friday.

Twilight Nine & Dine

Come and enjoy a great way to chill with some evening golf before Christmas, courtesy of our popular Twilight Nine and Dine. This is open to both Members ($30) and non members ($40), save the dates, Thursday 1 & 22 December - bookings open 5 days prior at 6pm. Members book through the timesheets and non members ring the Pro-shop direct on 9888 5518.

All welcome to join our evening of golf followed by chef's dinner selection on the deck.

Movember

Week four of Movember is here which means we're rounding the corner before the home stretch through NRGC's contributions for men's health. Raising donations for life-changing men's health initiatives across mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

Thanks to all those who have donated so far we are well on our way raising funds ( so far $1,340) via NRGC Movember - MO , target $3,000.

How are those moustaches growing? Some looking pretty full on, hairy, scruffy and downright classy!
