Super Senior Pennants

Last Thursday, 7 September, was our last round of Super Senior Pennants which was played at Monash Golf Club against Roseville. The match was close all the way, with Roseville winning 5.5 to 2.5. Three of the matches finished square. A great effort on a tough course. North Ryde finished in 6th spot overall. Once again Monash were just too good.

I would like to thank all of the players in the squad this year for their time and effort. Well done to everybody.

Graham Onley, Dave Hyland, Peter Richardson (Captain), John Yoo, Geoff Rogerson, Warren Clark, James Cheeseman, Colin Moore also Tim McCauley, Bruce Smith, Stan Skala and David Payne (not in picture).

Also thanks to the Club for their support this year and god willing we all do it again next year.

You forgot one

Scott was staying in a tiny hotel on a small Caribbean Island and decided to play a round of golf at the local club course. He was assigned a caddy who carried the bag over one shoulder and a gun over the other. Scott, a little unsettled by seeing the rifle, hooked his first tee shot into the rough. When he went to take his second shot, an alligator charged him, but quick as a flash, the caddy shot the animal dead in his tracks. On the second tee, Scott again drove into the rough, where another alligator darted out to attack him. Once again, the caddy shot in the nick of time. On the third hole, Scott's iron shot from the fairway rolled into some mud right next to a sleeping alligator. Scott looked expectantly at his caddy, who made no move to unshoulder the rifle. Aren't you going to take care of the alligator? asked Scott.

The caddy shook his head, no extra shots on a par 3.
