Club Person of the Year Christmas Dinner

It's time to get together and party, we'll also announce our Club Person of the Year, acknowledging someone for their contribution to our Club.

This is always a great night out, starting with a complimentary drink on arrival, cheese platter, traditional Christmas dinner, plum pudding with brandy custard and a night of cabaret style entertainment with Grant Newsome! Don’t miss out, book your seats/tables now to be part of this annual Club celebration.

Fix Your Divots

Ever had your ball end up in a divot, frustrating? To avoid this, please repair all divots in the tees, fairway and rough. We ask all players to carry and actively use a sand bucket irrespective of whether a cart is used or a player is carrying their clubs. By repairing your own Divot and others makes for a better course and game for everyone !

To Repair a Divot:
- Remove any loose turf from the divot. Do not replace the dislodged divot back in the grass.
- Knock in all sides of the edge of the divot with your club or your shoe.
- Use the sand provided to repair divots both on the fairways and in the rough.
- Lightly sand the divot creating a smooth playing surface.
- Players please also avoid walking on bare patches to give the grass an opportunity to recover.

Greenkeeper Apprentice and a Groundsman Position Available

The Golf Club requires a 1^st year Apprentice Greenkeeper and a Groundsman. The people we are seeking will have an interest in golf and basic understanding of golf course presentation.

Ladies Presentation Day

Don't forget Ladies Presentation Day Tuesday 30 November. Money and confirmation of numbers need to be in by Tuesday 23 November.

We start the day with a 9 hole and 2 tee start using only One Club and a Putter. Book your golf online with payment of green fees on the day to the Pro Shop. Bring your party clothes to change for lunch at 12:30pm.

The cost of the lunch is $20 per person, please place your money in an envelope with your name on the front in the Ladies Events slot in the locker room by 23 Nov.

Turkey Day

Turkey Day will be held Wednesday 8 Dec with 2 shotgun starts at 7am and 12.15pm The cost is $30 for Members & $50 guests. Fee's must be pre-paid to the office. One of the group must be in The Clubhouse to receive the turkey ( approx 5pm ).
Live music from 5pm

Hams Day

Hams Day will be held Saturday 11 Dec . The cost is $30 with no guests permitted for this event. One of the group must be in The Clubhouse to receive the ham - uncollected hams go to the next best scorecard.

Vets Hams day will be held Monday 13 Dec

Volunteers

The Club is looking for some more volunteers to help us with the following:

- Pick up sticks and twigs on the course
- Repair Divots
- Repair Pitch Marks
- Run our Summer Nine and Dine evenings looking at possible dates Dec 12 and Dec 16

As a community Club it is our volunteers that help make this Club so great.

NRGC is Energy Wise

Green Energy & Power Upgrade

Over the last few weeks we commenced the first stage of our energy efficiency upgrade, being updating our lighting to LEDs.

In coming weeks you will see technicians on site, installing Solar, replacing two of the air conditioning packaged units with modern efficient versions and re-gassing other Air-Conditioners with Natural Refrigerants.

The project will deliver some impressive sustainability results. It is expected that .....
