Notice of 2022 Annual General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the 73rd Annual General Meeting of the Members of North Ryde Golf Club Limited will be held at the Clubhouse, Twin Road, North Ryde on Monday 27 June 2022 at 7pm.

Your Board and Management welcome and encourage our Members to attend as this is always a great opportunity to learn about what is going on at your Club and to catch up with fellow Members while enjoying a snack and refreshment after the formalities.

9 Hole Comp Sat. 4 June
With the long spell of wet weather taking carts out of play for so long, many members have been unable to play. This Saturday we have set up a 9 Hole Competition for these Members running in conjunction with the existing 18 Hole Competition. When you arrive for your booked game at the Pro-Shop on Saturday just confirm if you would like to register for the 9 Hole Competition and welcome back!

Course Conditions

This week we have all welcomed the drier and somewhat windier conditions which have greatly assisted in drying the course.

While the wind was celebrated, it has presented some challenges, with increased debris requiring machinery to clear prior to mowing. Even with the careful use of this machinery, as shown in the photos, there was still minor damage to the still, very wet course.

We are all looking forward to having carts back on the course and it is anticipated that with continued dry conditions we may see a return as early as next week - please keep an eye on the website.

Pro-Shop - Trackman Screen & Fitting Room NOW OPEN!

The wait is over and coupled with improved weather, we once again have a very happy Professional. Here is Marty proudly showing off his new Trackman golf simulator.

The Trackman system works whereby dual radars track your swing and the strike of the ball you hit and using this information, generates a myriad of data which is almost instantaneously used to interpret your swing and ultimately improve your game.

The state of the art Trackman which Marty has invested in uses some of the best courses in the world and gives jaw-dropping precision indoors replicating exactly what would take place in the real world.

Please book a time to put the courses to the test while receiving a lesson or be fitted for the latest equipment from Titleist, Ping, Taylormade or Callaway. Compare your driver against the latest aftermarket technology shafts and we'll find you another 20 - 30 metres!

Friday Meat Raffle

Tickets on sale from 5pm every Friday Night. Tonight some special winter roasts are being given away. Be in the chance to win a pork, lamb or beef roast or the ever popular chicken schnitzels - come buy some tickets tonight!

Don't forget Week Night Happy House also from 4:30 to 5:30pm.

With the Members' Cash Draw sitting at $2650 tonight, it's well and truly worth coming out and being part of the Friday Night Fun.

Remember you have to be here to WIN and you don't want to be one of the many members who have missed the cash lately. Draws between 6:30 -7:30pm after Meat Raffle.

Super Sunday this Weekend

Join us for FREE LIVE MUSIC this Sunday 5 June. A perfect time to get up and dance to celebrate May results. All welcome to join us whether to listen or rock away the afternoon/evening on the dance floor with the popular band, "Sean & Frankie", back playing here once again.

During the band breaks we get to celebrate the winners of our May comps - Vets, Ladies and Men. A perfect way to relax away the last of your weekend rocking to some classic tunes in our fabulous Club. Don't want to cook dinner? Stay for a meal or grab some take away from the Dragon on the Green.

Ladies Update

Medal Round 5 - June Fraser Trophy & Goodwill Plate: Next Tuesday 7 June is a medal round and this is a drawn game. The sheet is in the locker room for you to put your name down. If you have not done so yet and would like to be included, please email me as soon as possible. A reminder that if during the above comp you have a bad hole, you are able to use the maximum score in the medal round. Maximum score is Double Par + 2 (e.g. on a Par 5 maximum score is 12, Par 4 is 10 and par 3 is 8).
