Free Firewood is available and ready for collection from the Club's Maintenance facility.
As the weather has become particularly chilly over the past couple of weeks a perfect time to top up your timber stockpile for the next crackling open fire.
Entry to the Maintenance Sheds is on the corner of Twin and Wicks Road, collection times between 6am-1:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday.

With Father's Day just over a month away Stuart Smart, one of our wonderful course team who has been tending North Ryde Golf Clubs turf now for almost 14 years became a dad for the first time.

The new addition to the family, Levi Ian Charles was welcomed into the world on 28 June weighing 4900gms and 55 cm long.

2023 Eric Apperly Shield Update
North Ryde Golf Club's Eric Apperley team played Oatlands at Liverpool on Sunday, 16 July and although they lost 4 to 2, they played very well against an experienced team and came away stronger for playing under the pressure of competition.
This coming Sunday, 23 July our team play against Concord at Oatlands Golf Club early in the morning so please wish them all the best!

Charity Day 22 August: The booking sheet is out for our annual Charity Day aiding the 'Shepherd Centre'. We will be playing a team game with theBest 3 out of 4 scores on each hole. As this is a shotgun start to prevent chaos and confusion on the day we are asking that everyone pre-pay. $50 per person includes golf and lunch. A timesheet has been set up for members to pay.(CLICK HERE for instructions on how to make the payment).
Visitors can register and pay via the website on MiTournament.com. MiTournament can also be accessed from the MiScore App by going to the Menu and scrolling down to the bottom of the screen. They will need to enter a username and password then search for North Ryde Charity Day to pay and register.
Vets 9 hole Competition on Thursday: You are now able to play the 9 hole Vets comp on a Thursday on your phone instead of taking a separate card. Simply pay the extra dollar to enter and your front 9 hole score will be submitted to the Vets comp. If you are a Vet please give it a go.
Match Play Qualifying: The second round of qualifying for Match Play is next Tuesday. The best score of either round is used to qualify. If you have not already indicated that you wish to qualify there is still time to do so. We need some more qualifiers for Division 4 especially.
Mixed Veterans' Day on Thursday, 3 August, is a 2 ball Medley Teams + Individual Stableford. Each team must have at least 1 female or 1 male. Time sheet opens 5pm on Friday, 28 July. Hot and cold food + tea & coffee provided. Green fees $20 paid on the day at the Pro Shop. This has always been a fun day so get a team together and join us.
The next event for the VWGA is at Beverley Park and is a 2BBB Stableford, cost $40. Entries close on Tuesday, 1 August.

Weekend Women's Update
Women's Sunday Foursomes: On Sunday, 9 July and Sunday, 16 July the Sunday Women participated in the Foursomes Premiership.
Congratulations to the winners of the Women's Weekend Foursomes Premiership: Fiona Montgomery and Philippa Ternes.
Sunday Pennants: Sunday Pennants resumes Sunday, 23rd July. North Ryde will be playing against Concord at Pennant Hills Golf Club.

Darts Update
The North Ryde Golf Club Darts Teams start the Balmain and Districts Amateur Darts Association 2023 Summer competition this coming week with the first matches on Wednesday 26 July.
A Grade have a home game at North Ryde, against North Ryde RSL with our B Grade playing away at Rozelle, against Garry Owen Team.
Wishing our two teams all the best in this upcoming competition, having both made their mark in the last competition they proved they are not easy to beat. Go Teams!

Maybe coloured golf balls in this case would have worked better. At least we don't get snow on the course , although it certainly feels we might some mornings - Keep golfing and enjoying the winter days.
