Charles was a very keen golfer who played in the Wednesday and Sunday mixed competitions, the latter with his wonderful wife Kathy. When the Vets Division was started in February 1998, Charles was one of its original members. He served on the Vets Committee for a number of years before taking on the position of Chairman which he held until his passing. He often said that his favourite games of golf were those he played every 2nd Monday in the month. Charles was most proud of his Hole-in-One on Wednesday, 23 November 2016 at the 3rd Hole.
After leaving school, Charles began his working life as a butcher and at the same time studied in the evenings to become an Accountant, graduating in 1988. Then, during the 1990s and whilst still in Practice, Charles became a night time accountancy teacher at TAFE. To the end, Charles still completed the annual tax returns of several of his long-standing clients.
Charles is survived by his wife Kathy who is very well known and much loved by all, their 5 children Sarah, Matthew, Michael, Anna and Amy, as well as their 9 grandchildren. We offer you our sincere condolences and Charles will be greatly missed. RIP Charles.
