Bunker maintenance has commenced, which includes the checking of the drainage system and sand depths in all bunkers, extra sand is added where required. We have only just started the process and this will take 3-4 weeks depending on weather.
Drainage - 2nd fairway 70 meters out from the green on the left-hand side, a troublesome area, has had a series of ag drains installed to keep the area playable during wet weather.
Another very time-consuming job is underway with the low irrigation valve boxes on the edges of fairways being lifted and levelled to match surrounding area and turf.
During this time of the year when the turf is dormant, if all members could please endeavour to vary their walking tracks around greens and tees to help preserve the turf and spread the wear. Thanks for your help with this never-ending problem.
Lastly with the wet periods that we are experiencing, if all members can also be very aware and careful where carts are being driven to avoid where possible these damp areas to again reduce damage and protect these parts from becoming slippery for subsequent players.
