Ladies Report

Presentations are back!
As there has been an overall easing of COVID restrictions in the community, the Club is working towards the position we enjoyed previously. One of those measures is to again hold presentations after golf giving us the opportunity for the camaraderie and social interaction that North Ryde Golf Club has always been noted for.

We will commence with holding presentations in the Halfway Bar from this Tuesday March 8 on a smaller scale and then moving upstairs from April 6. We welcome you to once again stay and join us.  "Let's make Tuesday Golf great again!"

Drawn Games
We have received numerous requests regarding when we will be returning to having drawn games.  The good news is that the first one will be our second Medal round which is on Tuesday March 30.  There are sheets in the locker room where you can put your name down in your division.  The draw will be done on Tuesday March 23.

President - Donna Linnegar & Captain - Barbara Evennett

Hole in Ones !!

Congratulations to members below who will become part of our Hole in One "Wall of Fame".

A hole-in-one is a very memorable event for any golfer with one of our Golfers John repeating this feat only 10 months apart !

John  Yoo on January 9 on the 18th Hole
Belinda Nolan  January 17  on the 3rd Hole
Michael Tighe January 27 on the 18th Hole
Paul Abate January 31 on the 3rd

January was certainly a great month for Hole in Ones with none in February. Congratulations once again to this great group of golfers!

The Proper Way to Call a Golfer a Bastard

A guy was getting ready to tee off on the first hole when a second golfer approached and asked if he could join him. The first said that he usually played alone, but agreed to the twosome.

They were even after the first two holes. The second guy said, "We're about evenly matched, how about playing for five bucks a hole?"

The first guy said that he wasn't much for betting, but agreed to the terms.

The second guy won the remaining sixteen holes with ease. As they were walking off number eighteen, the second guy was busy counting his $80.00. He then confessed that he was the pro at the neighbouring course and liked to pick on suckers.

The first fellow revealed that he was the Parish Priest.

The pro was flustered and apologetic, offering to return the money.

The Priest said, "You won fair and square and I was foolish to bet with you. You keep your winnings."

The pro said, "Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?"

The Priest said, "Well, you could come to Mass on Sunday and make a donation of $80. And, if you want to, bring your Mother and Father along, I'll marry them."
