News from the VP

Hi NRGC family,

The club hosted two significant events this week.

On Sunday we held our first SUPER SUNDAY presentation / Family Fun Day. The event will be held every month with a different entertainer each time. Course Update - Rain, Rain go Away

As you can imagine with the continuing and often torrential rain and flooding, we like many other golf courses across Sydney are closed. In the 19TH NEWS from 4 March, we mentioned that in 1989 the course was closed from April through to June, following the impact of wet weather for a staggering 59 days due to being unplayable. See below some snap shots of a couple of members Brad and David Hyland having some fun while showing the then members via photos why the course was closed.

While currently closed, we hope not to be anywhere near that long, so keep checking the website and booking sheets for updates. The course will be evaluated on Monday 11 to see if we can open on Tuesday 12 April and what playing conditions may apply. We are all feeling the frustration of this long term rain cycle.

One thing to note when you are back playing is we have new yellow flags that have replaced the blue flags signifying pin placement is at the back of the green. Easier for all to spot.
