Course Report

We have gratefully experienced some sunny days towards the end of this week and the all-important breezes which have accompanied the dry weather.  Although the water table is really high and the ground quite saturated, a few dry days and a breeze is enough to provide conditions which go from dangerous and damaging to the surface to, "play with care".  While it will take very minimal rainfall to top-up the saturated ground, we welcome the opportunity of opening part of the course, 12 holes, to members only this weekend.

Until we are rain-free and receive some much needed windy days the course will take a long time to get back to firm ground as we started to see a few weeks ago.  In June the course only received 5mm of rain.

For the statisticians:  Rainfall - Sunday 10 July 37mm, Monday 11 July 3.5mm, Wednesday 13 p.m. to Thursday 14 July 7mm. The previous 9 days July 1- 9 the course received 319mm for a total of 363mm in 14 days.

Rainfall YTD 14-7-2022 1,757mm - Sydney's wettest year on record was 2,194.0 mm in 1950
