Captain's Report

Golf Carts
Members, please be advised that golf carts are now back to normal, however due to COVID-19 restrictions their use will be strictly one person per cart unless both players are from the same household. You will no longer need a doctor's certificate to hire a cart and carts will go out more than once as we will now be sanitizing them between uses. Carts will also be available to the public and for social play.

Time Sheets & Waitlists
I would like to address an issue that is starting to occur more frequently - Members putting their name down on the waitlist and not turning up for the game. If you put your name down on a waitlist, it is your responsibility to make sure that you have either been put into the comp or if you decide that you won't play, you need to cross yourself off. We are getting too many people say they didn't receive the email or it was too late and they were asleep.  The missed email is no excuse and is only there as a courtesy, it is up to you to look. The competition shuts off at 8pm so it isn't too late to check if you are in or not.

Member's Login
It is obvious that members have been giving out their login to friends or playing partners to try and help with getting onto the sheet. There have been member's names put down by others as a blocker to hold a spot for someone to take later. If nobody turns up for that tee time, the member whose name is down will get the suspension. You will no longer be able to swap names, if you or your partner can't play then the waitlist will fill the timeslot.

You should not be giving your login details to anyone!!!! I suggest that if you have, it would be in your best interest that you change your password.

Be Considerate & Respectful

We ask that everyone take a breath and be considerate and respectful of our staff who are working under these unusual circumstances, they are just doing their job. The rules they ask you to abide by are not made by them or by us but are the rules in place that allow us to remain open and offer the opportunity to play golf.

Filling in Score Cards

There is a change to how score cards are filled in.

The Golf Shop will hand each player the scorecard of their partner. Players will be required to score for their playing partner and also fill in their own score as marker.

At the end of the round, the scores are to be checked, the card is to be signed by the marker only (that is you must sign your partner's score card certifying their correct score) plus write in your playing partners name into the Players signature box . Then put the card through the Kiosk reader and then into the card slot outside the locker room.

This applies to players not using the MiScore app.

Look after the Course

During the wetter Winter months, please try and fill 1 extra divet and repair 1 extra pitch mark.   We will see the benefit in the coming months with new growth starting soon.

Local Golf Rules Under COVID-19

  • Golfers must live within 10km radius of the Club to be able to play
  • No customers allowed in the Pro Shop
  • Everyone must sign in at entrance of the Pro Shop
  • Wear a mask: when signing in, awaiting tee off, on practise greens, at practice nets, ordering and collecting take away, on entering the Club to use toilets or locker rooms
  • Do not touch flags but use ball lifters installed on all holes
  • No rakes so preferred lies apply
  • Sand buckets not to be shared
  • Carts not to be shared unless members of the same household
  • Only touch your own bag and clubs
  • Only touch partners score card (see score card changes above)
  • Remember to sanitise hands when you can
  • 1.5 social distance where ever possible
  • Once you have finished your game you must leave the course immediately
  • No socialising at any time at the halfway mark or after your round of golf this includes in the car park

Once the current COVID-19 conditions have been relaxed, we look forward to being able to welcome you back to stay and socialise, just not during these times for both your safety and the safety of others.

By following these simple guidelines you help to keep Golf going!
