Congratulations

With the final rounds for Championships all completed it's time to congratulate our winners! On Sunday our winners were able to enjoy the time to relax with their fellow competitors and celebrate their wins with the presentations of Trophies in the Club House.

Club Person of the Year Christmas Dinner

It's time to get together and party, we'll also announce our Club Person of the Year, acknowledging them for their contribution to our Club.

This is always a great night out, starting with a free drink on arrival, cheese platter, traditional Christmas dinner, plum pudding with brandy custard and a night of cabaret style entertainment with Grant Newson! Don’t miss out, book your seats/tables now to be part of this annual Club celebration.

Rake Bunkers

If your ball lands in the bunker and you must shoot from there, golf etiquette requires you to leave the bunker looking like it did before you visited it. This is a critical part of golf, as it promotes fair play for other golfers. This involves raking it back into good condition. Doing it properly -- entering, raking and exiting -- also helps maintain the playability and health of the golf course.

Before leaving a bunker, players should carefully fill and smooth over all holes and footprints made by them and if there are marks from others.

Always enter the bunker at the lowest point. Pull the rake toward you as you exit the bunker. If required, rake other affected areas. Do not pile sand at the edge of the bunker. Push back excess sand with reverse side of rake. Leave the rake in the bunker pointing in the direction of the hole.

Ladies Presentation Day

Don't forget Ladies Presentation Day Tuesday 30 November. Money and confirmation of numbers need to be in by Tuesday 23 November.

We start the day with a 9 hole and 2 tee start using only One Club and a Putter. Book your golf online with payment of green fees on the day to the Pro Shop. Bring your party clothes to change for lunch at 12:30pm.

The cost of the lunch is $20 per person, please place your money in an envelope with your name on the front in the Ladies Events slot in the locker room by 23 Nov.

New score cards for the temporary course. While the 18th Green is under Construction we will be playing a temporary course with the current 2^nd hole split into 2 par 3's. During this time the score card will appear a little differently with the 2 temporary holes appearing as holes 2a and 2b, please click on the links below to view a sample of how it will look.

For the Men it will be a Par 68, Slope Rating of 127 and a Scratch Rating of 68, the Ladies will be a Par of 69, Slope Rating of 122 and a Scratch Rating of 71.

Reminder - Lady Veteran's Party Day

GOLF: Enter your names on the computer as normal and pay at the Pro Shop.

AGM: Starts at 12.30pm. Please sign the attendance sheet as you enter.

LUNCH: If you have not entered your name on the luncheon sheet in the locker room, please phone Cheryl Ward or Marlene Peters as soon as possible. The numbers for lunch have to be finalised this Monday the 15th with the caterers. Remember to bring your own SWEETS for your table as normal.

COST: $25 for members or $35 for non-members. Raffle tickets for prizes will be sold on the day 3 tickets for $5.

The Club is looking for some volunteers to help us with the following:

- Pick up sticks and twigs on the course
- Repair Divots
- Repair Pitch Marks
- Run our yearly Nine and Dine evenings looking at possible dates Dec 12 and Dec 16

As a community Club it is our volunteers that help make this Club so great.
