Stay after presentations this Saturday, 19 February and be part of our next Car Draw. If one of your Main Bar receipts is drawn at 5:30pm your in with a chance to WIN the MG3 Excite or Cash Prizes totalling $1475 on the final draw night. After this coming draw, there is only one more Draw night, Saturday 19 March before the final Draw on Saturday 30 April. Keep putting those Main Bar receipts in the barrel, every one of them is a chance to WIN!!

Ladies News

Pennants: The Silver II Pennants Team had their first game last Friday playing Concord at Pennant Hills. Play had to be stopped due to heavy rain but after a short break they were able to resume play and defeated Concord 4/1. This week they will play against Monash at Oatlands. Congratulations team and good luck this week!

Medal Round 2: The sheets are out for the second medal round which will be held on 1 March. This is a drawn game so please put your names down asap with your club number and GA handicap and indicate if you need a cart.

Course Renovations: March 15 the course is closed for renovations. Muirfield have kindly offered for us to play at their course on that day. If you would like to play at Muirfield there is a sheet downstairs to put your name and golflink number on. Muirfield need the names on Thursday 3 March to do the draw.

Lady Veteran's Update

This month, we have celebrated two 80th birthdays. Congratulations to Gai Welsh and Georgina Wong, who have received a birthday cake each and the best wishes from the Lady Members.

Veteran's fees are now due for 2022. If you haven't paid by the end of February, you will be unfinancial and therefore unable to participate in any of the North Ryde, VWGA of NSW or Mixed Veterans events. The next VWGA Event is at The Coast Golf Club on Tuesday 22 March, a 2BBB Stableford, cost $42, entries close 1 March. Entry forms in our folder in the locker room. The Coast is an interesting course and the scenery is delightful.

The Thursday 9 hole competition is well supported with approx. 30 ladies entering each week. Any new Lady Member or a transfer from another club wishing to join the Lady Veterans please see Cheryl Ward, Adele Sloane, Judy Pengelly or me for further information.

North Ryde Junior's Success

Enzo Moon

Once again congratulations to Enzo Moon. Enzo came 2nd overall at the Wagga Wagga Junior Masters played on 12-13 February.

His score was:
Day 1 - 75, 3 over
Day 2 - 67, 5 under
Finishing with 2 under.

The winner won with 3 under. 2nd overall is a wonderful outcome for Enzo, especially at 14-years-old. Well done and good luck for all future tournaments.

Update - Rachel Lee Vic Open

As mentioned last week Rachel Lee played in the ISPS Handa Vic Open, Rachel did very well making the cut for Sunday's Final Round ending up in 35^th place with rounds of 81, 74, 75 & 80 (+21).

The ISPS Handa Vic Open is one of the leading Australian professional golf events where men and women play on the same courses, at the same time.

In a format unique to world professional golf, the ISPS Handa Vic Open titles are simultaneously staged over 72-holes stroke play at the 13th Beach Golf Links on the Bellarine Peninsula.

Housekeeping

As we come to the end of our 2021-22 Golf Year, February 28 with all member subscription for the 2022-23 golf year due, there are a few things that need to be completed by our playing members.

Please spend any unused House Levy money, this was $150 (added to the house accounts at the start of 2021 golf year) to avoid any balance from being forfeited on 28 February. The 2022 COVID payment, AGM money and any personal top ups remain on members accounts. Also, download prize winnings and redeem golf balls by 28 February. If you do win golf balls near the end of February you have until the end of March to claim them.

If you want to check if you have spent the original $150 log into the members page, click onto My Information - click onto My Accounts - the total of your account will show up at this point...to view the full ledger click on the account line wait a bit and your full years ledger will show.

Prize Money like Accounts can also be looked up through My Information in the members section just scroll down to Prize Accounts. You can ring or pop into the the office to load your winnings to the House Account and the Pro-Shop to download winnings there.

Subscription notices can be paid online via direct debit using reference that's at the base of invoices or pay over the phone, or at the office.

Bag Tags

All playing members, please be advised if you do not have your bag tags attached to your golf bag by March 1 a penalty of suspension from play may be imposed.

Tags can be collected from the Club Office during office hours. If you have any difficulty collecting during these times please contact us by email: office@northrydegolfclub.com.au.
