Be at the Club for Super Sunday

All welcome to join us this Sunday afternoon from 4:30pm and enjoy the very popular local band, "The Cry Babies" playing favourite classics from the 50's to the 90's. During the band breaks we get to celebrate the winners of our March comps - Vets, Ladies and Men. A perfect way to enjoy the last of your weekend rocking to some classic tunes in our fabulous Club. Don't want to cook dinner? Stay for a meal or grab some take away from the Dragon on the Green, Rock, relax and eat with us on our first monthly Super Sunday event.

Course Update

COURSE CLOSED – FRIDAY 1 APRIL to SUNDAY 3 APRIL, decision on opening for Monday (4/04) will be made on Sunday (3/04) so keep an eye on the website for updates. As you can see by the above images, with the considerable rain last Saturday flooding the course in under 10 minutes, conditions continue to be too wet for play. All fingers & toes crossed that this will change next week. Today the greens staff were busy clearing up tree branches. The image above shows the tree on the 9th fairway left hand side on the corner. With the current high winds we have been experiencing hopefully we will not have more of this happening.

Digger's Day

Always popular is the North Ryde Golf Club annual event "Digger's Day" only a few weeks away on Saturday April 23.

Join us and celebrate the mateship of "Digger's Day", with great golf, great prizes, great food & entertainment.

$30 for members, $60 for non-members for both Golf & Dinner.

Golf 7am - 12:30pm: 2 Man Ambrose - 3 clubs and a putter off the first tee. Includes drinks on the course & a snack at the Halfway Bar. Book online or through the Pro Shop 9888 5518. Must pay before play through the office.

Dinner 7pm: This year the Golf cost includes dinner so come and enjoy a great meal and live entertainment, including a period of FREE drinks. Book and Pay through the office 9887 4422.

All current, ex-servicemen & frontline staff are FREE, but you must book to get a spot. Looking forward to a great Day!

Excitement is building with only 4 weeks left until the final draw night, Saturday April 30 when we find out who WINS the car.

Please continue to keep placing your Main Bar receipts into the Car Barrel, every ticket is your chance to WIN. On the final night 5 more lucky finalists will be drawn before the final draw to see who WINS the MG3-Excite!

Remember you must be here on the night of the final draw April 30 to WIN the Car. All those who are drawn and present will win runner-up CASH PRIZES!

All Members Social or Full Playing be here tonight 6:30-7:30pm for your chance to WIN the MEMBER'S CASH DRAW of $2,250. This is the longest period we have had, that it's not gone off, surely it's going to happen soon - Tonight could be the night.

Beforehand, from 5pm you have a chance to WIN in our weekly Meat Raffle with 15 meat trays to be won and of cause Friday Night Happy Hour 4:30-6:30pm, join us for the FUN.

Wednesday Night Trivia Fun

Join us at 7pm for our FREE Trivia Night. Grab the family or friends and join in the fun, it's free to play with prizes to win.

Do the Trivia Homework and bring it in for a bonus point this Wednesday night, 6 April for TRIVIA Fun.

Ladies Report

Medal Round 3 is next Tuesday 5 April. If you have been unable to put your name on the sheet for the draw and would like to participate (fingers crossed the weather improves) then please email me (barbara.evennett@gmail.com) and I will add you to the draw.

Singles Knockout Qualifying Round: Due to the course being closed this week the Singles Knockout Qualifying round will be moved to Thursday 7 April. If you wish to qualify, please let the Pro Shop staff know when you pay your green fee.

North Ryde Juniors Shine Again

The Peter O'Malley Junior Master was played on 26 and 27 March at Bathurst Golf Club. Congratulations to Enzo Moon who shone, with scores of 73, 72, 145 +3, finishing 9th out of 120 boys (13 - 17 years boys). He also came 2nd out of 51 boys (14 - 15 years boys division). Enzo thanks NRGC for their support.

Congratulations to Lara Mandalidis for tying 2nd in the 12 & 13 girls age group. Great effort Lara.

It was great to see five NRGC juniors take part in this event. Congratulations to Enzo Moon, Lara Mandalidis, Kai Mandalidis, Oscar Guazzarotto and Ian Kim.

Vale to Richard Coffey

It is with sadness we advise our members that Richard passed away on Thursday, March 31. While unable to play recently due to poor health he was a regular playing member for the past 55 years and will be very missed by his North Ryde Golf Club fellow members. Our heartfelt condolences are also with his family on their loss.

The funeral will be held on the Wednesday 6 April at 11am at the Divine Word Mission Chapel (Next to Leisure Lee Gardens) 199 Epping Road, Marsfield.
